In my mind, realistic fiction is really contemporary fiction. I consider Dickens Historical fiction because of when it was written. It was written as realistic fiction, but now is historical fiction because it was set in the past. Perhaps that's semantics ;) But, the world Dickens wrote about is not the one we live in today Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11006242469989144965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6037211533021083481.post-58840449471325877042016-04-11T21:25:59.206-04:002016-04-11T21:25:59.206-04:00I would classify Dickens as realistic fiction, wou...I would classify Dickens as realistic fiction, wouldn't you? Number one is the name of the brothers' band- we don't use that kind of language and I'd hate to introduce that in my home as something people think is humorous, or the thought that using that type of language for shock value is esteemed by their peers. becky.onelittlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17018699026523374480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6037211533021083481.post-28848800077566105362015-01-19T20:57:06.723-05:002015-01-19T20:57:06.723-05:00Wow.
